Backyard Breakfast

This morning's harvest of eggs and purslane

There is something deeply satisfying about eating a meal that came from your own backyard at a table made with your own two hands.  If you are reading this post, you are interested in the same things and probably know exactly what I'm talking about.  So we're sharing one of our favorite backyard meals in hopes that you'll

share one of yours with us.

This is a quick and simple breakfast that goes from yard to plate in about ten minutes.  We just cut some purslane, saute it for a minute in olive oil, drop in a few eggs from our hens, mix it all up, and, voila, a delicious and very nutritious breakfast!

What's your favorite dish made with ingredients from your back yard?  Please share it with us and our readers.  We really want this site to be a forum of shared ideas and experiences so please don't be shy.
